Well Hello, As many of you awake in the morning I bet the first thing on your mind isn't getting psyched up to go to the gym is it? Well an article from yahoo! health says that exercising in the morning will keep you energized throughout the day, and will also increase your metabolism. Doing the exercises they listed will only take you about 15 minutes and will be a great start to your day. Only 15 minutes?! i just might try it and see if it actually works, althought getting up early will be tough, it might be beneficial.
Pilates are the best exercises because they strenghten your core as well as stabilize your spine. They create longer, leaner muscles and is one of the easiest workouts to learn and perform.
The site goes on and tells you different activities you can do like, Arm Reaches and Pulls, Planks, One leg Raises, and workouts on a stability ball. It seems easy enough and you don't need a lot of things to do these, so instea of heading to the gym you could do them in your room, as long as you know what and how to do the workout correctly. Being safe during workouts is key!

I totally agree. The only time I work out is in the mornings. It definitely wakes me up, plus by the end of the day after classes I'm so exausted and ready to eat lunch/dinner, do some homework, and relax. I will definitely keep this website in mind and try out a couple quick exercises if I don't have enough time for the gym. Last year when I lived on campus me and my roomates would wake up, hit the gym, get breakfast at the DC, shower, then make it to our early morning classes. That was the best, getting all that done with early was a great start to my day!
ReplyDeleteI def, can relate to the exercising in the morning and feeling hungrier during the course of the day. I use to work out in the mourning and once in the evening but that was several years ago, I should really get back into it because i felt more energy and better when i woke up in the morning. very nice blog
ReplyDeleteI usually hate getting up early in the morning, but there have been many times when I have gotten up real early and hit the gym and I can definitely say I felt better throughout the day. I now go at night because I don't like getting up early, but I know that it still doesn't make me feel as refreshed and energized as going in the morning does. I should start to go more often in the morning like possibly vary my schedule, but it's hard for me to make that first step. I will say though that maybe then I wouldn't be so tired at the end of the night.
ReplyDeleteI completely agree with this blog Melissa. I used to workout in the mornings regularly and always felt more awake and aware during the day. I worked out in the mornings during the summer and at the beginning of this semester. However, during the school year it becomes more and more difficult to workout in the morning, at least in my case. I find this is because I live in a house where my roommmates are often up late or I am up late doing homework. I usually take the extra sleep instead of waking up before classes and go to the gym later in the afternoon. I would really like to start getting to bed earlier and back to working out in the mornings because I got much better workouts and felt better throughout the day.
